How we delivered bespoke health and safety courses virtually for business-critical training
Introduction
Berry Norwich is part of Berry Global, and is based in Norwich, UK. The company manufactures injection moulded plastic closures for such household products as Heinz ketchup, HP sauce and Lucozade sport. Lesley Waters and Jonathan Edwards are in the Safety and Training team at Berry Norwich and explain how International Workplace helped deliver business-critical training in a virtual environment.
A variety of health and safety training delivered online and face to face
"Our relationship with International Workplace started around ten years ago with some director-level training, and in recent years has focused on training including asbestos, CDM Regulations and legionella. Kate is an exceptional trainer, one of the best we’ve ever had.
"We undergo a safety audit every year so the majority of our training is in response to that. The pandemic stalled some of the training we had planned, but it wasn’t long before we were able to get it up and running again.
"Kate has done both online and onsite training and online and in-person courses. We prefer the in-person courses, you can’t really beat that, but the virtual classroom has worked very well."
"Kate is an exceptional trainer, one of the best we’ve ever had. "

Tailored asbestos training courses
"International Workplace is able to create bespoke training for us. The latest asbestos training that we did, which was for our maintenance team, was tailored especially us. Kate had an online meeting with Alan, our Maintenance Manager, to see what our needs were, and then she went around the factory and had a look before undertaking the training so she knew what the issues were."
